Leader of the Pack

Mogul joined Coco for the hike this morning, and the two of them trotted along side-by-side together most of the way.  Coco tried enticing Mogul into play, but he was just focused on moving ahead (and peeing in bushes).

Mogul was greeted by a yellow Lab mix named Honey at the park who wiggled around in front of him and licked at his face like Keeyush did last week.  Mogul opened his mouth wide with his teeth bared, letting Honey know that he was the boss.  Honey took the opportunity to stick her face in Mogul's mouth and become acquainted with his tonsils - a unique doggy way of saying "Ok, you're the boss...JUST LOVE ME!"  Mogul obliged and gently mouthed her face while she licked him - though not without a few grumbles over how pushy she was.  Hershey has been at the park the last few days with his own human, and today he and Coco had some good play as Coco lied down on her back again to let Hershey take the dominant role and jump around on her.  Rucksack was again interested in little other than his favorite yellow soccerball, but another young pup was also interested and was faster than him!  Even though Rucksack gave it a good run on every throw, the other dog beat him to it about 4 out of 5 times.  When Rucksack actually got it himself, he trotted around with it for a while to savor his victory.
