Adventure Pack

Thompson and Milo brought up the rear together on our way up the mountain this morning.  Eventually, Thompson took the lead while Milo stayed back and followed the rest of us from a short distance.  There was one area off the trail where Thompson explored for a little bit and was followed by Milo.  Eventually, I had to wade through the brush to round Thompson up.  Milo came along on his own accord.  Rucksack and Roger Roger happily greeted some friendly hikers on our way back down and got lots of pets.

Luca had his first day at the park with the pack today!  There was no hint of Luca and Sputnik's friction from when they first met, Monday.  I walked Luca on the leash with me for the first 5 or 10 minutes and then let him off.  He spent a little while just sniffing around and getting his bearings.  Meanwhile, Sputnik and Ruffers had a big chase with a fast German Shepherd.  Then, Mamacita got into a dodge-and-wrestle with a playful young dog with coloring similar to Sputnik's.  Sputnik, Ruffers, and Luca all joined in and ran around together.  After that, Luca was in for every game of chase he saw, and raced to join in them.  He also had fun chasing after one dog who was playing fetch.  Ruffers and Sputnik found more friends for wrestling and also enjoyed wrestling with each other.  Mamacita paired up with her new puppy friend on and off during our visit.  Benny sniffed and greeted all the dogs and people at the park, though he didn't join in for the racing and wrestling.
