The Adventure Pack

Benny and Rucksack were playful with one another again, right from the start of the hike.  Today, Rucksack ran around with a small chunk of a branch that stuck out from the side of his mouth just a few inches.  Benny followed him all around and nibbled at what he could get at whenever he got a chance.  We met several dogs who Coco was especially excited to meet.  She was already a little worked up from watching Benny and Rucksack run around together so she was super happy to meet the new acquaintances.  Wesley happily greeted the other dogs as well.  Later on, when we passed over the stream, I was surprised that Wesley opted not to get in.  He just hung out on the shore.  Benny didn't hop in the stream either but Benny usually doesn't like getting too wet.

The Play Pack

Maverick found a playmate to chase him around for a little bit.  Earlier, he had tried to get Benny to run around/under the tree stump with him but Benny was more interested in sniffing around.  I tried throwing a tennis ball to Benny to play catch like he likes to do sometimes, but he just let the ball fall right on his head and didn't flinch or try to catch it at all.  He was feeling lazy this afternoon and spent most of his time lying around.
