The Adventure Pack

I let Rucksack off leash today, after we got to the stream we cross over early in the hike, and after splashing around and enjoying himself in the water he was very good about staying within sight and coming when I called.  Wesley and Benny really enjoyed each other later in the hike when we crossed back further downstream.  Wesley hopped right into the stream while Benny sniffed at him from the bank and dipped his front paw in to test the water.  After getting wet, Wesley jumped out and Benny chased him up and down the trail ahead, and then around in circles when we came to a large clearing at a crossroads.  Coco and Rucksack also got to wade around in the doggy-chest-high water and enjoyed the opportunity.  Coco was a little hesitant to get in at first but when I told her it was ok she stepped right in.

The Play Pack

Osiris played with several other dogs at the park today.  He chased one dog who was playing fetch - following to the ball and then returning with him.  There was a little Spaniel who wanted to run with him but Osiris bumped her and she went tumbling, and she kept a safe distance from him after that.  Later on, he got into a playful wrestling match with a Golden Retriever.  Meanwhile, Benny followed me around as I walked through the park, lied down near me whenever I sat down, and came over to nose me in the face whenver I squatted down to his level.  I tossed a ball for him to catch for a little bit.  He wouldn't chase it if I threw it too far, but he likes to try to catch it in the air.
