The Adventure Pack

Benny conitnued his new habit of stubbornly stopping in place every few steps at the beginning of our hike.  At first, Wesley, Rucksack, and Coco all wanted to wander off in different directions to sniff around the trailhead but soon I got them all on the same page and we walked around Benny and came up behind him, herding him forward.  Once we got a little way up the trail and I let Benny off leash, he had no issues with keeping up.  He stopped and lingered to sniff or chew at some grass every so often but then trotted on to catch up with his packmates.  Later on, we came across Play Pack member Cooper who was hiking with his guardian.  Benny went ahead to say hello and Coco started wiggling and licking her lips and pulling on the leash to see her packmate.  Rucksack and Wesley also both gave happy greetings although they don't see Cooper when he comes out for Pack Activities.

The Play Pack

Osiris joined the Play Pack for today and had a lot of fun.  Maverick didn't give him a very warm welcome to start off but after barking for a few minutes while Osiris and I waited outside the car he settled down.  Benny and Osiris wrestled around in the back of the car on the way to the park.  Benny loves chewing on fluffy dogs and Osiris is one of the fluffiest.  At the park, everyone came along as we walked down to the far end and back.  Maverick sometimes prefers to linger by the nearer end of the park but today he followed all the way down (though he did stop just to hang out a few times along the way).  Later, a Boxer puppy jumped around on Osiris and then the two of them ran around together.  Benny played briefly with the Boxer pup as well.
