The Adventure Pack

Coco and Benny both tried stealing Rucksack's stick from him as we hiked today.  Coco got it away from him once but I had her drop it and I gave it back to Rucksack because he wasn't trying to tease his packmates with it.  Wesley ran up ahead on the trail and then went off the trail to greet another dog on another trail.  I could see him the whole time but he ignored me when I called him and followed with the other dog and guardian until they came to the point where the trails met.  He came back then and spent the rest of the hike on the leash.  Benny has developed a habit of stopping in his tracks stubbornly and frequently.  I thought it might be that he was hurting but when he was off leash he trotted around without a problem.

The Play Pack

Mogul and Benny both lied down in the sun for a long while when we got to the park.  Later, I kicked a tennis ball around for Mogul while he chased and pounced on it.  Benny followed around a Mastiff named Oscar and tried to get him to play but the big pup was busy with a couple other dogs.  Once when Oscar turned his attention toward Benny, he just took a couple steps forward and Benny bowed and whimpered - apparently intimidated by Oscar's sheer size.  But then Benny was back to following him around and nibbling on him a moment later.
