 The Adventure Pack

It was hotter out today than I had expected and the pack was panting a lot since we were walking around Wonderland Lake where there isn't much shade.  At one point, Coco lied down in the grass in the shade of a big tree and we lingered there for a few minutes so everyone could cool down.  Later, we went through an underpass under 28th street and took another, longer break.  This time, Toskey and Benny lied down to cool their bellies on the concrete while Coco and Oliver decided to stay standing.

The Play Pack

The pack was mellow at the park today.  Coco fetched for a bit but she kept the ball in her mouth for a while after each go, so I didn't end up throwing it for her many times.  We saw Osiris there - an occassional pack member himself.  Coco and Benny know Osiris best but Coco wasn't interested in playing with him.  Benny nibbled on his fur as he walked by a few times but they didn't really play together.  Benny wrestled around a bit with Lincoln and then proceeded to mouth at his neck to get his attention after they stopped.  Maverick spent most of his time in the small dog park, watching what was going on beyond the fence.  He seemed very interested but in what I couldn't tell - I thought it looked pretty boring over there.  The gate between the small and large dog parks was open and Coco, Benny, and Cooper all joined me when I went to see what Maverick was up to.  Cooper followed me all around, right at my heel most of the time.  He kept looking up at me with his sweet, loving eyes, just asking to be pet.  I was happy to oblige.
