The Adventure Pack

It was a nice day to be out today and the pack was is good spirits.  Benny was back to nibbling on Wesley as we walked again today.  He also tried nibbling on his leash a few times - I wonder why he's been so mouthy lately.  Wesley and Coco saw a couple squirrels again when they first hopped out of the car and both had very intent looks on their faces.  Rucksack dove at the occasional pincone that I accidentally kicked while walking but he didn't carry them more than a few paces afterward.

The Play Pack

Maverick hung out close to the other dogs at the park today but still hopped away with a little growl if they approached him too incautiously.  I tried playing soccer with him but he lost interest after just a few kicks.  Charlie was his usual, energetic self.  He played a lot with a dog who looked like an Australian Shepherd but with stubby legs.  Later on, Alfie showed up and Charlie ran over, flopped on the ground, and started squirming and kicking to get his friend's attention.  It worked, and the two of them played for a long while.  Benny was very mellow today and spent a lot of time lying down on his side.  It reminded me of when his shoulder was bothering him a couple weeks ago, but I didn't notice any limping.  I hope he's feeling alright.  He enjoyed the chest scratches I gave him, which caused him to roll all the way onto his back.
