The Adventure Pack

Coco was really on point with keeping her position on Rucksack's far side today, and Rucksack didn't pull at all on the leash.  Rucksack found a small stick on our return leg and carried it all the way back to the car where Coco and Benny proceeded to chew it apart.  Benny didn't only chew on the stick; he also enjoyed one of his favorite pasttimes: chewing on Wesley's fur.  Wesley mostly ignored him but occassionally chewed Benny's face in return, which didn't deter Benny.  When Wesley was clearly tired of it and started leaning away from Benny, I interrupted and had Benny stop using his packmate's coat as a chew toy.

The Play Pack

Wesley and Benny were back at gnawing on one another when we got to the park and then they both had a good run with Charlie.  Charlie found a German Shepherd mix puppy named Oliver to let out all of his energy with and then later played with a young Burmese Mountain Dog.  At one point, when he felt he wasn't getting enough attention from his playmates, Charlie flopped onto his back and wiggled and kicked wildly until he got the Mountain Dog's attention.  After wrestling and running with Benny, Wesley had fun playing fetch and lived up to his Retriever name by bring the ball right back and dropping it at my feet each time.  Benny had a lot of fun wrestling with his pal Lincoln.  Whereas their wrestling last week seemed sort of affectionate and subdued, they were both very energetic and did a lot of playful hopping around today.
