The Adventure Pack

Ruckack carried along a stick for the entire hike today, from the first few minutes on the trail all the way until we got back to the curb by the car.  Oliver was a bit hesitant at the start of the hike but I kept encouraging him to go ahead of me.  By the end, Oliver was leading the pack while his packmates tried to keep up.  Coco was very interested in a baby riding in a backpack-style carrier.  The baby giggled at her and she was taken aback - she stood still and watched for a couple minutes.  She started to woof a little bit and I settled her down.  Coco's very wary of unfamiliar things (like babies in backpacks) but she's been less confrontational about it lately, which is nice.

The Play Pack

Benny rejoined us for the park today after going to the vet last Friday.  He seems to be doing better - no yelping or whimpering for no evident reason - but he was still a bit subdued.  He seems to be recovering from a pulled muscle or something along those lines, since every once in a while I notice a very slight limp.  Charlie made friends with yet another new puppy today.  His new friend's name is Griswold.  Griswold is only 16 weeks old and the two of them had a great time.  Charlie tried hopping on for a hump a few times but after a bit he lied down and let the pup jump around all over him.
