The Adventure Pack

Toskey likes to take the lead and scout ahead when she's off leash, just like Coco does.  Benny was playful on the hike today when he and Toskey were off leash together.  He picked up a small stick and flaunted it around in front of Coco, who couldn't chase him because she was on leash with Mogul.  Once he realized that he wasn't going to get Coco after him he gave up, dropped the stick, and went to see what Toskey was sniffing along the trail ahead.  Coco was in a particularly relaxed and friendly mood.  She's often a bit wary when strangers reach out to pet her on the trails and she'll hop away from them and occassionally bark; today, she followed along with other hikers who were ahead of us on the trail, went right up to sniff and greet them, and didn't get jumpy when they wanted to pet her - it was great!  Mogul met a dog who looked like a kind of similar mix to him and they both lingered for a while when greeting each other.

The Play Pack

Coco was intensely focused on fetching - both tennis balls and a disc - today.  She has a habit of diving in to snatch toys up when I reach down to pick them up, especially the disc.  Benny caught a few tennis balls and haphazardly pounced at some others that Coco snatched up afterward.  Mogul lied down by himself and I went over and sat with him for a while.  Coco and Benny both came over to lie down with us.
