The Adventure Pack

Mogul and Coco both bathed in the stream we passed at the beginning of our hike today while Rucksack and Toskey walked around in it and just got their paws wet.  Mogul had a kick in his step afterwards and took the lead for a while.  After Mogul started to lose a little steam, Rucksack picked up the lead.  On the way back down, Coco and Toskey ran from place to place together and then flopped down in the grass next to each other.  Toskey was happy to be among her packmates again after a couple weeks without the Adventure Pack.

The Play Pack

At the park, Mogul just lounged in the shade.  He was pretty tired - he even lost his normal poise of lying upright (often with his front paws crossed) to watch the other dogs, and he ended up just lying on his side to take a nap.  Meanwhile, Benny was happy to see his friends again after a no-doubt excitement-filled weekend at Cottonwood Kennels.  We picked him straight up from the kennel and he was so excited to see Coco (and me!) that he couldn't stop wiggling and licking all over the place.  Coco was also happy to see Benny, although I think part of her excitement was because she thought she was going to be dropped off to visit with her kennel friends, since I know she sometimes boards there as well.
