The Adventure Pack

Coco seemed a little sluggish and moody this morning.  She was very cuddly in the car but when we got onto the trails she barked at the first two hikers that passed us.  Oliver had a lot of fun hiking with his brother and the other big dogs.  When I offered him water from the Camelbak spout he ran away at first.  I let it just dribble out and he came over and started drinking and was totally used to it by the end of the hike.  Benny followed Rucksack around as they explored the trails together just up ahead of the rest of us.  Rucksack carried a stick all the way up the trail and then Coco grabbed it up once he dropped it at the top.  She only seemed interested in teasing Rucksack with it, though, and didn't end up carrying it very far.

The Play Pack

Coco was more playful at the park than she had been on the trails.  Charlie and Coco chased each other around for a little while when we first arrived at the park, and Benny was a little more animated than usual when he joined in with them.  Later on, Coco had fun whipping deflated soccerball around to get the attention of the other dogs.  When that didn't work, she moved onto a stick.  Oona chewed on the stick while Coco held it in her mouth and Oona made a token effort to play tug-of -war before leaving the stick to Coco.  Benny came over and chewed on it for a while after that.  Charlie spent most of the rest of his time sniffing around and going from person to person to be pet.
