The Adventure Pack

Wesley was back to following me for most of his off-leash time on the trails today while Rucksack did more exploring in the brush.  Rucksack got a big burr stuck to his side that I pulled out when we reached the top of the Amphitheatre trail.  I had the pack all sit for a picture and after I snapped a few shots Wesley walked over, turned to face his packmates, sat down, and leaned towards me.  He loves to be close.  I was surprised he stayed on the other side of the camera for as long as he did!  Coco and Benny had a lot of fun on the way back.  Coco has gotten more and more in the habit of flopping onto her back and wiggling around - especially in the tall grass.  This gets Benny excited and then they chase each other around afterwards.

The Play Pack

We had an old friend rejoin the pack for the day today: Mable!  Mable was shy when I first showed up to take her and Brady out, even a little moreso than in the past.  Usually when I used to finally get close and pick her up she would instantly settle down and relax but today she wsa still a little skiddish when I was holding her.  Once we got to the park, she seemed to get back into the groove and she chased tennis balls alongside Coco and Brady and hopped up into my lap a couple times.  Coco and Charlie really enjoyed each other today.  Brady joined in to pounce on Charlie for a little while.  At one point, Coco and Charlie were both lying on their back, kicking their legs and wiggling around wildly but neither actually touching the other.  Benny took advantage of the opportunity to nibble on the legs of his goofy packmates.
