The Adventure Pack
Rucksack found a big stick to carry partway up the First Flatiron today, but at one point the trail was rocky and narrow and there were several other people just ahead so I had him drop it and leave it behind so he wouldn't bump into anyone and trip them up. On the way back down, Coco hopped off beside the trail for a moment and then came back with the same big stick. Wesley was following behind me when he was off leash and I stopped and told him to go on ahead. He trotted right up and took the lead, but was distracted by some interesting smells and wandered off the side of the trail then rejoined behind us again. Benny and Coco chased each other in circles around the same area where they did yesterday.
The Play Pack
Charlie went non-stop the whole time we were at the park today. Most of his time was spent with a Whippet mix named Racer who started off white and was brown with mud by the time they left. Charlie and Racer had numerous bursts of high-speed chasing interrupted by short breaks to splash around in the big mud puddle together. Brady, Coco, and Benny all trotted through the puddle but thankfully Charlie was the only one to lie down in it. Brady and Coco raced each other for tennis balls and each got about an equal number. Benny didn't run for the balls but he was excited to pounce on them when I bounced them in front of him.
