The Adventure Pack

Rucksack was adventurous again today but not so adventurous that he wandered off.  He did a lot of off-trail exploring and enjoyed finding pockets of water in big rocks that had holes worn in them.  Wesley and Rucksack were both very excited to greet a chocolate Lab that passed the other way on the trail.  Wesley didn't want to let their new friend go and tried to block his way until I called him to catch up.  Benny had a burst of energy during the latter half of our hike and let it out by running in circles in the field alongside the trail.  Coco chased him around for a minute and then trotted back to the trail and Benny followed her.

The Play Pack

Charlie spent a lot less time in the mud puddle today but he still had a few dips in it.  He's been getting noisier lately, barking at Coco when she won't play with him.  I had to stop him and have him sit and wait to settle down a few times.  Coco played fetch and hung around by my side a lot today.  She wasn't that interested in the other dogs there aside from her usual bout of taunting Benny with her tennis ball.  Benny chased down a few balls but most of the time he missed it and ended up knocking it away and straight into Coco's mouth.  He managed to steal Coco's tennis ball straight out of her mouth once when she was teasing him.  He instantly turned and ran with it and it seemed to take Coco a moment to realize she actually lost the ball.
