The Adventure Pack

Rucksack was very playful and full of energy again today.  He and Benny did a lot of running and bowing and hopping around one another as we made our way up the First Flatiron.  Coco was in a more mellow mood than usual.  She didn't come to greet me outside (like she usually does) when I picked her up.  I think she may have just had enough rain and wanted to take shelter inside.  She wasn't in the greatest mood when we hiked, considering she barked at each of the first two people we passed on the trails.  She and Benny were very cuddly during the car ride to Chautauqua, though.

The Play Pack

Coco and Benny started off as the only two dogs at the park when we arrived but other dogs started showing up soon after.  The two of them spent a lot of their time caught up in playing keep-away with one another.  At one point, each of them had a tennis ball of their own and was trying to taunt the other to come get them; eventually, Coco dropped her ball and dove after Benny.  An Airedale Terrier pup showed up toward the end of our visit and Benny spent the rest of the time chasing her around.  Meanwhile, Coco played some fetch and just leaned against me while I gave her chest and side a good scratch.  Back in the car, Benny licked water off of Coco's coat and then they lied down with one of Coco's paws resting on top of one of Benny's.
