The Adventure Pack

Everyone had a lot of energy today.  There weren't many others out on the trails but we came across a couple Golden Retrievers who everyone was excited to meet.  Mogul did some dancing and dodging with them and when they were walking by Coco made a lot of noises filled with excitement.  Benny and Rucksack were also happy to greet the passers-by.  We headed up the gravel path from the Chautauqua parking lot today and then up toward Enchanted Mesa since that area wasn't as muddy and it's not as steep and slippable as the rocky paths up the Flatirons.

The Play Pack

Daisy had a fun last day with her packmates today.  When we first arrived, Coco ran with her friend Louie while Daisy chased after Coco, baying like any good Beagle as she followed on Coco's heels.  Later on, Coco, Daisy, Mogul, and Benny all ran around together for a long while.  Coco was after Mogul, Daisy was after Coco, and Benny was after Daisy.  Coco did a lot of flopping down onto her side and then rolling on her back while Benny gnawed on her legs and Daisy jumped around in her face.  After a bit, they split off into pairs and Coco and Mogul chased each other around while Benny and Daisy wrestled.  Then it was Mogul's turn to bow and flop down shoulder-first to invite Coco to come get him while she danced around him.  The pups had lots of energy today and in addition to all of their romping with one another they also did their fair share of fetching - well, ball-chasing, anyway.  Benny brings the ball when I call him over but he usually isn't the one who gets to it first; Mogul enthusiastically chases it down and snatches it up, then promptly drops it and stares at me until I come get it; Daisy and Coco were usually the first ones to the ball and they both typically bring it back but then half the time they just want to tease me with it and play keep-away.  All in all, it was a great time.
