The Adventure Pack

Everyone got a chance to be off leash again today and everyone did a good job of staying around me and listening when I called to them.  There was one hiccup when Benny was drawn a ways off the trail by a scent and came back with a bone.  Once he came back he was very good about coming right up to me rather than playing keep-away.  I had him drop it and put all the dogs back on leash for a minute to bring them away.  Mogul, Coco, and Rucksack were all very interested in Benny's find.  Later on, Coco, Benny, and Rucksack took turns carrying a stick.  Mogul wasn't interested in sticks - he was more interested in the terrain.  The hike up the First Flatiron is relatively steep and on the way down Mogul liked pausing and watching us go down all the switchbacks, then rushing down to meet us.

The Play Pack

Coco and Benny have gotten to be such adorable play partners.  It used to be that they just wrestled around and groaned at each other in the back of the car but then found other playmates to occupy themselves at the park.  This week, they've spent most of their time playing together.  Daisy joined in to jump around on Coco when she was wiggling around on her back.  There wasn't much fetch today.  Mogul joined in with his packmates for a quick spurt of chasing, then spent most of the rest of the time sitting next to me to be pet or lying out in the middle of the field where he could watch everything that was going on.  The warmer weather seems to really impact Mogul's energy level.
