The Adventure Pack
Welsey and Rucksack enjoyed exploring together during today's hike. Rucksack found a couple different small logs to carry around. Benny enjoyed nibbling at the ends of one while Rucksack held it in his mouth. Later, Coco got a hold of one and she and Rucksack had a tug-of-war over it that was broken up by long periods of just standing side-by-side, each holding on but not trying to steal it away. It's really cute when they do that. It reminds me of one of the first times they went out together about a year ago when Rucksack was carrying a huge stick and Coco latched onto one end and followed him all around that way.
The Play Pack
Pico was playful from the start of our visit today. She hopped right out of the car when we got to the park and she was excited to run with her packmates as soon as they got in. She found several other chase partners during our visit as well. Benny played a lot with a black Pit Bull mix named Carmen. Benny has a really distinct style of play that I've described before, which mostly consists of standing still and swinging his head around with his mouth wide open while a playful pup hops all over him. I noticed them taking a break for a few minutes and Carmen was sniffing the ground. Benny nibbled her ear and then started sniffing the ground next to her to see what was so interesting. Coco and Charlie played together a lot today. Charlie has even more energy than Coco, and when she's had enough he soon darts off to find another dog to run with. In that way, he reminds me of Coco some months ago when she used to move from puppy to puppy, tiring them all out but never hitting her own limit. Coco's settled down a bit now, but Charlie definitely gets her moving. I posted a picture of Charlie lying in wait to ambush Coco while Coco is slowly stalking forward to try to sneak up on him.
