The Adventure Pack

Coco and Toskey were both a bit wound up on today's hike.  On a couple occassions when another dog passed by us on leash, the two of them growled and pulled on their leashes toward the other dog.  We made frequent stops and took a slower pace after that so I could check them regularly and keep them calm.  Benny and Rucksack were both more mild-mannered.  Benny nibbled on his packmate's neck and Rucksack, who sometimes seems bothered by the attention from Benny, actually made inviting motions to lure Benny over.

The Play Pack

Benny, Coco, and Pico all had a blast at thr park today.  Pico was very shy when I first picked her up and it even took some convincing to get her out of the car when we got to the park.  For a little while she hung out by herself at a distance from me, her packmates, and other dogs.  After a while, though, she started darting up and away playfully.  A playful young pup showed up and Pico ran with him for a while.  Coco and Benny both joined in the chasing at that point and they all did a lot of running.  Earlier on, Benny had been wrestling around with Milo (a black Corgi mix) and Coco and I played some fetch.  I've noticed a funny habit Coco has of dribbling the tennis ball by letting it drop out of her mouth and then snapping it back up after just one or two bounces.  I think she does it to tease other dogs (and me, sometimes) by making them think they have a chance to get the ball.
