The Adventure Pack

Coco was looking spiffy in her new collar today.  It look like it has a stronger buckle so we won't have an issue with it popping open again like it did last Friday.  She was well-behaved throughout the hike today, although I did hear her rumbling a little when we were standing to the side of the trail and another hiker passed by us.  It was only that one time though; during the rest of the hike she didn't seem bothered by anyone else we came across.  Mogul and Toskey got to be off leash today.  I've kept Toskey on leash the past few hikes with her because she was starting to develop a straying problem like a few of her packmates.  Unfortunately, she went right back to that habit when I let her off with Mogul today, so when she finally came back she had to go on leash for the rest of the time.  I would've let Rucksack off instead, but he was so worked up watching Toskey run around that I was concerned he'd follow suit.  Mogul stuck close by and came when I called him, even if he did hang back a lot today.  On the way down the third Flatiron, he moved up to the lead.  We came across another dog who was off leash and apparently wasn't with any of the people nearby.  He was friendly and followed us down the trail a bit until he went off to greet another dog passing by.  I let the couple with the other dog know that the dog who was saying hello to them was without his humans and they had the dog sit and got a hold of him.  I was glad to see that they were going to take care of him because my hands were a bit full to try to round up a hitchhiker.  I hope they were able to find his parents.

The Play Pack

Coco and Brady both played a lot of fetch, as usual.  Brady actually managed to beat Coco to the ball a fair number of times today by really committing to a direction before the ball was out of my hand (well, out of the Chuck-it).  Mogul was very lazy at the park today, but he did get into a little hopping around with one dog for a short while.  Benny played with Bruce again today - a friend he made last week.  Benny and Coco also chased around another excited pup for a while, and Brady joined in for a few quick dashes.
