The Adventure Pack

We came across a family with a little boy who wanted to pet the pack members today.  Benny licked the boy's face, Wesley sat in front of him, and Rucksack walked by for a pat and then went to sniffing around.  Coco was feeling wary (I could hear a faint rumble from her) so I kept her by my side.  We worked more on walking with a loose leash today by using the method of stopping and taking several steps backwards every so often or whenever one of the pack members started pulling.

The Play Pack

Charlie spent most of today's park visit running around with a Border Collie mix with big, upright ears.  At first I was a little concerned that Charlie was being too pushy with the Border Collie since he was doing all the chasing, but then he flopped onto the ground and let his playmate have a turn pushing him around.  They went back and forth like that for most of the time we were there.  Brady got pretty worked about about a young Rottweiler mix named Alfie.  Every so often he took off in a sprint, barking at Alfie's heels.  Coco was caught up in playing with other dogs today so Brady had a lot more opportunities to be first to the tennis ball when we played fetch.  Benny played with a young Jack Russell mix who he's seen before.  Benny mostly just held his mouth wide open and swung his head around while the little guy hopped around all over him.  Benny was very gentle and very tolerant of the playful little pup.
