The Adventure Pack

Rucksack, Toskey, and Coco all have tendencies to wander a bit far sometimes so today they spent the hike all on leash together to reinforce sticking closer by.  I used the technique of stopping and walking backwards several paces every now and then to keep their attention on me and every once in a while everyone got a treat.  Mogul was off leash for the hike and stayed close by as usual; however, he did lag behind every so often and I stopped with his packmates and called for him to catch up, and we waited in place until Mogul trotted past.  Hopefully, that also helped to reinforce the message to his packmates to stick together and not go off ahead.

The Play Pack

Brady had some fun with a Dachshund and a  Miniature Schnauzer at the park today.  He's been into smaller dogs lately.  He also had a run with a young Golden Retriever.  Coco did a lot of wrestling with the same Golden Retriever puppy, and earlier she had a blast playing keep-away from a pup named Pablo (or it might have been Paulo - I'm not sure if I heard it right), using a stick as the bait at first and then later a tennis ball.  Mogul spun a little for an older, black dog with lots of graying fur.  He also followed around the Dachshund that Brady was interested.
