The Adventure Pack

Coco and Wesley were very playful with one another today.  Coco kept running in big circles away from Wesley and back, and when she came close Wesley moved toward her and then they both dodged each other.  Rucksack was unresponsive when I was calling him back to me again today, so he had to go back on leash.  It looks like he's going to have to stay on leash for a while until I can trust him again.  I'd love for him to be able to run around a bit, but he's just been wandering off the trail and out of sight.  Oliver not only kept up with the pack today - he was at the head of the group on our return leg, occassionally pausing to scent-mark a big rock here and there.

The Play Pack

Fletcher and Coco were both really into fetching today.  I used two different balls this time.  When I threw the first one, they'd both start for it but Coco would give up as soon as Fletcher pulled ahead of her.  Then, while Fletcher was still running for the first ball and Coco turned around, I threw the second ball for her.  This worked out well and they both brought their balls back to me consistently for a while before they got distracted by other dogs and took a break from fetch.
