The Adventure Pack

Benny and Coco trotted alongside one another throughout the hike.  They're really good friends and a lot of their time in the packmobile together they spend mouthing one another's faces and making whining and groaning noises.  Mogul stuck with the pack today instead of hanging back and bringing up the rear as he often does.  Rucksack wasn't being very responsive when I let him off leash.  He wandered a bit further than I feel comfortable with and he only came back when he wanted to despite me calling to him, so he had to go back on leash.  I worked with him a bit once he was back on leash, by saying his name every so often and giving him a treat.  Hopefully he'll be more repsonsive next time so he can go back to enjoying the freedom of off-leash exploring.

The Play Pack

At the park today, Mogul and Coco had a good bout of play together.  Mogul usually isn't interested in his packmates and looks for other, bigger dogs to play with, but he and Coco had a lot of fun and he did his spin move for her over and over.  It was great to see them enjoying each other so much!  Benny had a lot of fun with a Ridgeback mix named Fiji who he's met before.  Daisy joined in their play, too.  Fiji took off on some big runs and the whole pack followed her.  Daisy gave her hunting-dog barks as she followed at Fiji's heels.  When they stopped, Daisy would roll over in front of Fiji and kick all around while Fiji pawed and nosed her, and Benny pawed and nibbled at Fiji.  They had a great time together.
