The Adventure Pack

Benny and Rucksack played with each other a lot on today's hike.  They had a similarly goofy quality to the way they moved as they each tried to get a chin or paw over the shoulder of the other without letting the other do the same to them.  I let Mogul and Coco off leash together because Mogul tends to be pretty mellow a lot of the time and Coco has some stitches in her ear from yesterday; but Mogul ended up being full of energy and very playful today.  He wasn't rough with Coco, though - he just had fun sprinting down the trail every so often and he did spins in front of Coco while she stood and nipped at his butt.  Coco was in good spirits and seemed unfazed by her small injury.

The Play Pack

Mogul's playfullness conitnued at the park, where he stole up a tennis ball that was thrown for Buzz and Cooper (park regulars), and then flaunted it all around with hops and exaggerated swings of his head.  Eventually he lied down with the ball and Buzz lied down next to him, waiting for Mogul to lose interest.  Eventually Buzz snapped it up when Mogul wasn't paying attention.  After that, Buzz left the ball behind and Fletcher brought it right over to me to play some fetch.  Fletcher also chased several other dogs around.  Sometimes he gets bossy with other dogs and I have to call him over to settle down but he found a couple dogs who he just ran with, without any issues.  Benny played a lot with a young Golden Retriever.  At one point when the Golden was lying down, Benny started nibbling on one of his back legs and the Golden just lied there and let him for a while before hopping up and resuming play.
