The Adventure Pack
Benny loves nibbling on things and he found a number of small twigs along the trails to satisfy him. Wesley was pretty mellow today. He just followed along with me and didn't get into any chasing or wreslting around with his packmates. Coco and Rucksack went all out together as they chased and hip-checked each other down the trails. I had to call them to stop them several times because they seemed like they would have just gone on otherwise. Coco was wary again when I called her over for her turn on leash. She stayed at arm's length and danced around with various sticks to try to get the other dogs' attention and lure them into play. She eventually came over when Benny picked up a stick of his own. I've been working on this with her since she's started acting this way recently, and I've had a lot of success this week before today's hike.
The Play Pack
At the park, Coco had no hesitation in coming to me, and sometimes just wanted to snuggle up against me. She played some fetch along with Brady and Daisy. Brady was back to his old self, chasing down tennis balls without hesitation. Daisy mostly followed her packmates but also managed to grab a few balls herself. She had a couple fits of reverse-sneezing today so I wonder whether the warmer weather is bringing out some allergies or whether she may just have a bit of a cold. Benny grabbed up a couple balls after her packmates dropped them, or when I threw them right to him, but he just watched as the other dogs ran after the longer throws.
