The Adventure Pack
Coco and Rucksack were up to their usual antics of chasing and stick-stealing today. They were very good about coming to me when I called, as well as sitting and waiting while other dogs approached from up the trail. Mogul and Benny didn't romp around around with each other. They did their own things and just sniffed around in the brush as we went. They were also very well behaved. Benny greeted a couple yellow Labs at one point but he immediately felt overwhelmed as they sandwiched him between them and he yelped and came running back to me. He's been a lot braver on the whole but he still has his moments.
The Play Pack
Brady was a bit more lively today than last week, but he was still more mellow than usual. I threw some tennis balls for him to chase and even held Coco back to let him get them first, but he just let them go and didn't chase them down, so I released Coco and she went right for them. Brady and Mable did meet a Pomeranian who they both got excited about. Brady's tail started wagging and he dropped into a quick bow but the Pom just sniffed him. Mogul found someone at the park with a pocket full of treats and he was especially nosey and persistent - sitting directly in front of the man and nudging his sweatshirt pouch. I body-blocked Mogul away and stepped in between him and the man when Mogul made several attempts to go begging again. He's so calm and so persistent about it that it's actually very cute. Although the man liked the attention at first it was clearly starting to make him a little uncomfortable. Later in the visit, Coco tagged along with Mable while Mable followed some interesting scents.
