The Adventure Pack

Coco and Rucksack took off for a quick sprint the second I released them from a sit-stay when I let them off leash.  Later on, Wesley made doggie snow-angels and sometimes just plopped down in the snow to lie there for a minute.  Rucksack went stickless for most of the hike but found a good specimen toward the end and brought it all the way back to the parking lot at Chautauqua.

The Play Pack

Brady was pretty mellow during the first part of our park visit.  Mable tried getting him to play but he wasn't interested.  Later on, though, he got pretty excited about chasing tennis balls - although he didn't bring them back at all.  Coco picked up the slack and grabbed the balls after Brady dropped them, then she brought them back to me.  Coco also had lots of fun with an enthusiastic 10-month old pup whose name has escaped me - she looked like she may have been part German Shepherd.  Another young dog who looked similar to Coco's playmate was very interested in Mable.  He was a little pushy with her, and Mable let him know by enforcing a radius around her.  She's good at letting the bigger dogs know her boundaries while still being social.  In the car on the way home, Coco tested those boundaries and teased Mable while Mable stood still and watched Coco out of the corner of her eye, occassionally giving a chirp and a little air-nip to send Coco hopping back.
