The Adventure Pack

Coco, Rucksack, Wesley, and Benny all had a lot of fun leaping through the fresh snow today.  Benny was back to scooping up a mouthful about every 10 steps.  Rucksack kept burying his face in it and ended up with a white mask for the rest of the hike.  Because of their longer fur, Wesley and Rucksack both got some snow packed into their paws and they each stopped a few times to nibble and lick it away.

The Play Pack

We had a new member in the Play Pack today: a 2 1/2 year old Beagle named Daisy!  Daisy was a bit shy when I first brought her to the packmobile to meet her packmates.  She held her tail between her legs and crouched away from them.  Once she spent a little time at the park, though, she relaxed and had a lot of fun.  Her favorite playmate was Pico, who she chased around the park for a lot of our visit; but she also played with Benny and Coco.  Coco caught some big snowballs that I threw to her.  She seemed kind of surprised when they hit her mouth and broke apart, but she kept coming back for more.  Benny had lots of fun with a tan Siberian Husky mix.  Daisy wasn't the only one who ran with Pico - she also had a grey Siberian Husky friend who paid a lot of attention to her, and a yellow Lab/St. Bernard mix who she played and played with.
