The Adventure Pack

Benny wasn't as interested in eating snow off the ground today - there wasn't as much snow left anymore!  Coco kept running up the trail and then pausing briefly to sniff a spot and then continue on.  Benny followed behind her and stopped at all the spots she did but spent a good deal longer sniffing out each one.  I picked up a stick and gave it to Rucksack to carry along at the beginning of the hike and he brought it along for about the first hour.  After that, when he was off leash with Wesley, Rucksack kept running by Wesley and hopping around him to try to get him to play but Wesley wasn't interested.  Eventually, though, Rucksack was able to get Wesley's attention and they romped around together for a bit.  Coco really wanted to join in with them but she knew she was on leash and managed to contain herself somewhat; instead of pulling towards them she hopped up and down in place, looking back and forth between me and her packmates, making trilling whines that sounded like a high-pitched Chewbacca impression.

The Play Pack

Coco teased Benny with a tennis ball early on during our park visit again.  Later on, when Mable found a tennis ball to carry, Benny had all his attention on her and he repeatedly dropped into play bows and groaned at her while she stood with her back to him and occassionally cast nonchalant glances his way.  Brady wasn't as interested in chasing tennis balls as usual but I think that's because he wasn't having much luck beating other dogs to them.  I managed to throw some for him that he could have easily been the first to reach - when the other dogs had wandered away or were distracted - but he only went for it a few times.  He and Mable played with each other for a while again today, as they've come to do a lot.  It usually starts off with Mable dive-bombing Brady a few times until Brady decides to give chase.
