The Adventure Pack

Bennny was again hooked on eating snow today, dipping his head down every few steps to scoop up a new mouthful.  Mogul vomited once early on and we took a slower pace for a little while but when I let him off leash afterward he was full of energy and ran up and down the trail with Rucksack following behind him.  Coco has been a little difficult lately with not coming to me when I call and instead trying to play "catch me if you can" but today she came much more quickly and willingly when I called.

The Play Pack

When we first arrived at the park, we were the only ones there.  I found a ball to play fetch with but after one throw, Coco decided it was more fun to tease Benny with it and play keep away.  Coco is really good at taunting other dogs with objects and Benny wanted nothing more than to get her ball.  Eventually, Benny stumbled upon another ball and picked it up for himself; but he still kept after Coco because her ball was obviously much more fun.  Later on, Coco found a stick and got several other dogs after her, including both Benny and Mogul.  Coco played a lot with a black Ridgeback mix who was among her pursuers when she had the stick.  Mogul enjoyed the Ridgeback mix too, and had a great time darting and spinning.  Poor Mogul has some trouble with intimidating his playmates with his size, his direct approach, and his harsh-sounding play growl; the Ridgeback mix was a little scared at first and yelped when Mogul bounded toward her, but after Mogul followed up with a spin and some playful hopping, they ended up having fun together.  Benny also played with the Ridgeback mix a bit but then broke off with a black Lab mix to wrestle around on the ground.
