The Adventure Pack

Benny seemed really sleepy this morning, and his eyes were leaky.  He perked up once we started hiking, but I wonder whether he might have a cold.  Mogul left a lot of scent marks along the way today; it seemed like every few minutes when I looked back he was kicking dirt up after leaving a mark.  Coco and Rucksack enjoyed running together side-by-side today.  Rucksack was usually just ahead of Coco, with Coco nipping a the scruff of his neck and Rucksack swinging his hips into Coco, each trying to get the advantage so they could break free, spin around, and then tease the other into a new chase.

The Play Pack

Brady played a little bit with a yellow Lab named Jackson.  Brady and Mable aslo played together a lot, as they've been doing more and more in recent weeks.  Brady, Mable, Coco and Mogul all did some tennis ball fetching today.  The first ball I threw was with Brady, Mable and Coco, and I didn't really expect Mable to go for it with her two bigger packmates on either side of her; but she surprised me when she was the first one to the ball and then proceeded to trot around with it for a bit.  Mogul likes to paw at the ball once he gets going, and he can keep himself entertained for a while that way.  When he's tired of batting it around, he stands over it and looks at me with a big grin to let me know he's ready for me to throw it again.
