The Adventure Pack

When we came to that boulder in an uphill stretch of the trail again today, I wondered whether Benny would give another try to going up the steep face of it after seeing Toskey do it next to him yesterday, but he still used the stepping stone alongside it.  Finn wasn't very active at the beginning of the hike but he got very excited and playful after we passed by a light Goldendoodle and another light Labradoodle who he was happy to meet.  After they moved on, he started dancing around Benny and the two of them played a lot.  Coco and Mogul spent the latter half of the hike off leash together.  There were some strange thumping sounds that could be heard in the distance and Mogul and Coco were both tuned into the anamoly; Benny and Finn were more interested in sniffing the trail in front of them.  Coco and Mogul had fun working their way toward the source of the sound and pausing every so often to listen.  When we reached the red rocks I could see that there was some work being done on one of the houses below, and that was the source of the strange sounds.  I acknowledged it and moved on, and Coco and Mogul took my cue and relaxed.

The Play Pack

Mogul and Benny both made friends with a Chocolate Lab at the park today.  Benny played with his new friend for most of our visit, and Mogul joined in for some of the time.  Coco was more interested in greeting people and leaning against them than in playing with other dogs.  I threw a tennis ball for Coco and Brady for some of the time but Brady backed off as soon as he saw Coco running for it, and Coco wasn't as good about bringing it back today as she usually is.
