The Adventure Pack

When we came to that same spot with the big boulder on the trail at Sanitas, Benny hopped up using the stepping stone this time instead of planting his front paws on the big rock and then standing there hopelessly wishing he had more strength in his back legs so he could push off and get up.  Toskey, on the other hand, leapt right up the steep side of the boulder without a problem.  I wonder whether Benny was thinking some form of the thought "...show off" at that moment; outwardly, he didn't appear to even take note.  Coco and Finn romped together side-by-side.  They didn't do much wrestling; they were more interested in exploring and seeing what interesting smells one another found along the way.

The Play Pack

Brady started the park visit off with a scare as he ran out of the gate and right up to Keeyush - an Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd mix who's at the park pretty often - barking all the way as he charged into Keeyush's face.  Keeyush responded by pinning him and Brady's barks turned into yelps.  I pulled Keeyush off and then checked on Brady, who was obviously a bit freaked out but ultimately unharmed: no blood, no puncture marks, no limping; his intense yelping when Keeyush was over him really concerned me at first, but he was just scared to be pinned by such a big dog.  I took the pack down to the other end of the park and minutes later, Brady was running around and chasing balls.  I think the scare made his stomach upset, though, because he had some trouble pooping after and I had to wash him off because his rear end was a mess; but he was happy to greet other dogs after, including a Yorkie and another little white dog who looked a lot like him.  He and Keeyush were around each other without a problem, later on, too.  Keeyush had just felt she needed to let Brady know that running up to her face and barking at her wasn't an acceptable form of greeting.  Coco, Benny, and Mable mostly stayed close to me and Brady for the rest of the visit.  It was sweet how they all seemed concerned about their packmate and wanted to stick together, but they had the good manners and sense to let me handle the situation without interfering as it was happening (aside from some barking on Coco's part, which I'm sure she felt was perfectly necessary).
