The Adventure Pack

The pack had some more playful energy today.  Coco and Wesley ran around with each other a bit.  Benny had trouble trying to hop up that big rock in the trail again today and he just stood there with his paws on it, looking up at me helplessly until I redirected him to the side with smaller stepping stones.  Rucksack found a small stick that Benny and Coco both wanted to steal.  Benny is very tentative and just gnawed on the end gently; Coco clamped down on it and she and Rucksack had a standoff where neither of them budged an inch for a couple minutes, until I held up a pinecone and Rucksack decided it was more interesting than the stick.

The Play Pack

Pico didn't have as much success in finding chase partners today as she did yesterday, but she channeled her energy into chasing tennis balls.  I don't think I've ever seen her actually chase a tennis ball before; she usually just runs alongside the other dogs and then breaks off in the hopes of sparking a good run with them.  Benny chased a few tennis balls, too.  He followed along behind his packmates a lot of the time, just seeing what they were up to.  Coco played with a Golden Retriever, and kept coming back over to me and leaning against me throughout our park visit.
