The Adventure Pack

I was pleased and impressed with how tame Coco was during today's hike.  She still romped with Rucksack and stole his sticks as usual, but she came more readily when I called and she didn't pull at all when she was on leash.  Rucksack was actually the one doing most of the poking and prodding, teasing Coco into playing with him. Mogul's stomach must have been upset today because he kept pausing at the side of the trail to pick at the grass.  Benny tried to leap up a big rock as we were hiking uphill, but he just ended up with his front paws on the boulder and his back legs still on the ground.  Wesley got stuck on the same spot last week.  I had him back up and come up along the side of the boulder, where there was a medium-sized rock to use as an intermediate step.  He had a lot of fun running circles around the pack when he got off leash later on.

The Play Pack

Pico spent her park visit doing what she always loves to do: getting chased.  She got Benny and a black Lab puppy to go after her for a while, then a Siberian Husky later on, and then Coco during the latter part of our visit.  Coco and Benny also had a lot of fun wrestling around with a Golden Retriever mix puppy.  Mogul spent some of the time picking at grass along the edge of the park, but he also got playful with a couple German shepherds and a fluffy black-and-tan dog so he mustn't have been feeling too bad.
