The Adventure Pack

Rucksack attempted to carry not just a stick, or even a log, but an entire fallen tree trunk today!  He worked at it for a while, trying to find the right place to lift from.  He managed to get one side of it up, but couldn't move it at all; still, it was impressive.  Mogul kept lagging behind and then sprinting up ahead when I called to him; he boomeranged back and forth like that throughout the hike.  Benny enjoyed gnawing on various sticks that he found along the trails, including a few of Rucksack's less ambitious choices.

The Play Pack

Mogul and Pico had a lot of fun with a playful, brown merle Border Collie.  Mogul pawed at him and broke out into spins, and Pico teased him into chasing her around for awhile.  Later on, the Border Collie was playing with a Golden Retriever puppy, and the action caught Benny's attention.  He was especially interested in the Golden Retriever and kept jumping on him, but was brushed off repeatedly as the other two dogs were too interested in one another to let another dog join in.  Benny had fun with some other dogs, though, including Pico.  I threw a ball for Benny to fetch and when he started to run for it Pico sprinted ahead of him and drew him into a chase.  Oliver wandered around and caught the interest of a black Lab puppy.  The two of them danced around back and forth a bit as the puppy kept approaching playfully and Oliver was setting boundaries.
