The Adventure Pack

Coco and Rucksack started off with their usual romping and wrestling.  Later, when they had their turn on leash, Rucksack found a nice big pinecone to carry along with him.  He eventually lost interest in it and dropped it to pick up a stick that stood out to him.  Fletcher came over to check out Rucksack's find and mouthed it for a moment but then let Rucksack keep it without a struggle.  Mogul got ahead of us at one point and I called for him to come back.  He stopped and stood where he was, staring at me, clearly with no intention of coming back.  I called his name, waved him over, and squatted down; but all I got was for him to sit instead of stand.  He was oviously thinking, "I know you're coming this way..."  so I turned around and took the pack back up the way we came.  Mogul hesitated briefly before giving in and coming back to us, at which point he got a treat and then we turned back around and continued on.  On the car ride afterward, Fletcher lied down with his head poking out on my armrest, and Coco lied down with her head over Fletcher's back.

The Play Pack

Coco and Benny wresled around on our way to the park while Brady hid in the footspace of the back passenger seat and Mogul lounged in the far rear.  When Brady and I were playing some fetch at the park, Benny came over to see waht his packmate was up to.  He chased Brady to the tennis ball and then after Brady grabbed it up, Benny danced around him with lanky hops and play-bows until Brady dropped the ball and chased after him.  Brady had fun chasing a couple other dogs around today, too: a Brittany Spaniel and a Swiss Mountain Dog.  Mogul chased another dog around a bit, too; and I was surprised to see that it was a smaller dog than him.  He typically only gets playful with bigger dogs, but something about this dog got him going.  Coco spent a lot of time playing tug-of-war in a group of a few other dogs.  Later on, Benny played with a little black lab pup named Roadie and Coco wrestled around with a Siberian Husky that was in on the earlier round of tug-of-war.
