The Adventure Pack

Wesley and Toskey started off today's hike by running ahead on the trail and through the brush while pouncing and dodging one another.  Coco and Rucksack wanted to join but it was their time on leash.  When they went off leash for the latter half of the hike, they made up for lost time in romping with one another and stealing a stick back and forth as they love to do.

The Play Pack

Coco, Benny, and Fletcher all made friends with a small (maybe 30 lb) black dog named Boxer (who definitely wasn't a Boxer breed).  The four of them ran all around together.  Benny takes big, slow strides when he runs and sometimes his timing gets off when he tries to go faster and he ends up stumbling.  It's amusing to watch now, but I bet that his big stride will be very graceful once he grows into it.  Brady played fetch and is pretty much flawless at dropping the ball on command (when I tell him to sit).  If I don't call him over and tell him to sit, however, he would be happy playing keep-away all day long.  Fletcher met another German Shepherd at the park named Dexter.  They were somewhat interested in one another, but not very playful together.  Everytime they passed each other, Fletcher let out a sort of high-pitched bark.  I'm not sure if that was his way of trying to goad Dexter into play, but if it was it didn't work very well.
