The Adventure Pack

Mogul was very playful with Coco today.  On the hike, they played a game where he guarded the trail up ahead from her and she tried to bully him from his post.  She hid in the brush and then would come bounding out toward him, but Mogul stood firm and deflected her approach.  They went on like that for a little while at one spot while Fletcher and I worked on heeling while on leash.  Fletcher is great off leash and is very responsive, but he has a very strong tendency to pull when the leash is on.  We went over the same stretch of the trail quite a few times since each time he pulled ahead and ignored my signal to slow down we turned around and tried again; meanwhile Mogul and Coco played their game on the trail just up ahead.

The Play Pack

Brady spent our park visit playing fetch.  I'm really impressed with how quickly he's learned come back to me with the ball, drop it, and sit and wait to let me pick it up.  He does consistently now and almost without hesitation.  Mogul's friend Oscar was at the park today and the two of them played a bit - spinning, leaping, and pawing at one another.  Mogul was in such a playful mood today that I saw him break out his spinning for two other dogs also - one was a yellow lab and the other was a little Boston Terrier named Bill!  Coco raced Brady for tennis balls as usual and they came out about even today.  Later on, Coco had fun playing with a young puppy; although she got a little intense so I called her away to let her calm down a little so she wasn't too overwhelming for the little one.
