The Adventure Pack

Coco and Toskey started the hike off-leash together today, and they ran and ran together.  Toskey was really great about breaking off her play and coming to me when I called her, and then Coco followed Toskey wherever she went.  For the latter half of the hike, Wesley went off-leash with Rucksack.  He took advantage of his first length of time off-leash with the pack by trotting through the brush and mopping up some of it in his long coat.  Rucksack found a stick at the Flatironette that he carried down with us, and he got a lot of comments from other hikers.  It wasn't a particularly big one, but he wielded it with pride.

The Play Pack

Brady started off with a bit of an attitute with Fletcher.  When Fletcher went to hop into the car when I picked him up, Brady was standing right in the way and gave such a stern growl that Fletcher - a big, young German Shepherd who usually dives into (and out of) the car with exuberance - backed away.  I had Brady back up and let Fletcher in without any more attitude.  At the park, Fletcher and Coco were chasing each other around and Brady came sprinting over to follow them, barking at Fletcher.  It was easy to get Brady's attention off of them by waving a tennis ball in front of him, though; and after that he stopped giving Fletcher a hard time for the rest of our outing.  Mable ran on the heels of some big dogs.  Eventually, one of them turned the tables and chased her instead.  After trying to play it cool for a couple minutes, she got overwhelmed and came running over to me for cover.
