The Adventure Pack

Coco and Rucksack always like to start off their hikes with a quick side-by-side dash up the trail that usually results in a wrestling match as they wait for me to catch up to them; today was no different!  It sometimes seems like Coco bullies Rucksack into playing with her but today Rucksack was clearly the instigator as he kept leaning his head over her back and nudging her with his nose until she responded.  Later on, Rucksack and Coco both found respective pinecones to carry with them, but Rucksack quickly decided that Coco had the better pick and he dropped his and followed her around until she dropped it and let him carry it.  Then they passed it back and forth for most of the rest of the hike.

The Play Pack

Pico was as interested as ever in finding dogs to chase her at the park today, but she didn't have too much luck.  Every time I picked up a ball to throw for Coco and Brady, Pico would excitedly run up alongside them as they chased the ball down - but she wasn't interested in fetching, or chasing the ball down at all; she was just trying to use Coco and Brady's excitement to get a chase going, as she would run between them and veer off at high speed as soon as they got near the ball.  Brady and Coco were more interested in fetch, although Pico did manage to catch Coco's interest occassionally.  Mable wasn't as high-energy today as yesterday, but she was still adorable.  She's getting more and more comfortable and today she was crawling up into my lap when I squatted down with a treat in my hand, and she even licked my nose.  Brady found a Border Collie named Sonic that he wanted to play with!  Another dog showed up to the park that got the attention of several dogs including Sonic.  Brady was attracted to the commotion and the next thing I knew he was jumping all over Sonic, drawing his attention away from the other dog.  Their play didn't last long since Sonic was still pretty interested in the other dog, but it was cute to see Brady so worked up.
