The Adventure Pack

Coco was the first to pick out a stick today and she teased Rucksack into chasing her around for it.  They also played a game where Coco goes up ahead on the trail a little bit then hunches down, and Rucksack pauses and they stare at one another until he drops into a play-bow and then tries to run past her while she tries to keep him from getting by.  Wesley was a good boy today.  We came across several other dogs on the trails and he didn't growl at any of them like he did a couple weeks ago; he just sniffed them out  and carried on with a friendly wag of his tail.  I got stung by a bee in the same place Wesley was stung last Friday, which made me think about the fact that both Coco and Rucksack acted oddly - suddenly hopping around for a few seconds - when we passed that spot on different days this week.  So much for taking that trail for the rest of the season; I don't think any of us want to be stung again!

The Play Pack

Coco and Fletcher chased and wrestled with one another at the park today.  A Pit Bull mix joined in with them for a little bit and while Fletcher was chasing him around, Coco crouched and was poised to tackle Fletcher as he ran by.  He was distracted and it would be a perfect opportunity to get the upper hand.  When they passed, she lunged and made direct contact...but Fletcher didn't even seem to notice her assault as he continued in his chase of the Pit Bull mix; meanwhile, Coco fell flat on the ground as if she had just run into a brick wall!
