The Adventure Pack

Coco and Rucksack started off today's hike with a chase up the trail ahead and back a few times.  Later on, Mogul and Coco had fun running along the trail side-by-side.  I'm not sure whether it was because of the cooler weather and/or the fact that we took a less steep route that went to Koehler Mesa (instead of hiking up the first Flatiron), but Mogul had an extra kick in his step today that was fun to see!

The Play Pack

Mogul's energy continued at the park as he chased his packmate Pico a few times and then met a couple other dogs - a Lab mix and a Border Collie/Pit Bull mix - who he had fun dancing around with.  I call it dancing because there was a lot of movement and negotiating back and forth, but they didn't chase or have any real contact.  It's like a game to see who can get closer to who without getting caught.  Meanwhile, Coco played with a puppy who looked part Irish Wolfhound and Pico had fun approaching different dogs and baiting them into chases.  A lot of the dogs ignored her when she would drop into a quick play-bow and then dart away, but she found a few takers who gave her a good run.
