The Adventure Pack

Rucksack and Toskey started today's hike off leash together.  The last couple times they hiked together, they romped around with one another a lot.  Today was a little more mellow.  Toskey wandered around through the brush while Rucksack followed behind, but they were more interested in checking things out than in each other.  There was no stick-carrying by either Rucksack or Coco today, which is unusual.  Wesley was a good boy the whole hike, although right at the end as we were heading to the car we passed another Golden Retriever and Wesley surprised me by growling at him.  He's never been anything but friendly to his packmates and other dogs we've passed on the trails, so I wonder what got him riled up.  After the hike, Toskey was the first to be dropped off.  She usually wanders around the house when I leave her, but today she must have been especially spent because she walked straight to her bed and lied down.  It was so cute, I had to take a picture (posted in Pack Photos).

The Play Pack

At the park, Coco started off playing with Keeyush and Zeus, who were already rolling around together when we showed up.  Whenever the other two got wrapped up in playing with one another and left her out, she would bark in Zeus' face to get his attention.  Later on, we played some fetch and then her other puppy friend Sammy showed up and the two of them had a tug-of-war over a rope toy.  After that, she just lied down at my feet for 10 or 15 minutes to rest - a rare occurrence for the energizer puppy - and I took the opportunity to give her a bit of a massage, which seemed to be all she wanted then.
