Coco was on the hunt for grasshoppers again during today's hike, but didn't catch any. We'll be walking along the trail and then all of a sudden she's nose-first into the brush after seeing a grasshopper land there. She carried a stick down from the first Flatiron. Every now and then she dropped it and seemed like she was going to leave it behind, so I told her "go get your stick!" and pointed to it, and she excitedly grabbed it up and carried on.
Luna's second day at the park went much like her first: it started with her and Coco wrestling around, then we took a walk around which resulted in Luna taking off at high speed and inspiring Rucksack and Coco into a chase. All three of them had some fun splashing in a kiddie pool, although Coco made the most of it by lying down and rolling around in the water. Luna followed me whereever I walked around the park today. She's still getting used to being there with her new pack. From seeing her run and wrestle with her packmates I expect that she'll get comfortable enough to play with other dogs too, before long.
