Adventure Pack

Coco has been very excited to hike with her old friend Rucksack again, and she shows her enthusiasm by jumping all over him when they first get out of the packmobile at the trailhead.  I was surprised we didn't see more dogs on the trail now that the weather is more mild, but we only passed a couple during our hike.  I brought the pack off to the side of the trail both times and Sputnik and Mamacita both stayed calm as the other dogs went by, as did Rucksack and Coco.

Colby had her first park visit with the pack today.  After pleasant greetings with a few new packmates, we headed to the Foothills Dog Park in North Boulder.  At the beginning of our visit, Colby took Stella's lead and just sniffed along the perimeter fencing at the western edge of the park.  Thompson, Coco, Isaac, Stella, and Cobly all then joined me for a lap around the park, with Isaac playing fetch all the while.  After the first lap, Colby loosened up a bit and went on a couple runs with Coco and Isaac.  Stella and Thompson lingered at the shelter by the park entrance while the rest of us went for a second lap around the park, but they both decided to cut through the middle and rejoin us halfway around.  Thompson was feeling frisky today and attempted to mount a couple different dogs.  After watching Isaac play fetch for a while, Colby ran down a couple tennis balls, though she wasn't very focused on fetching.
