Adventure Pack

The trail at CU South was empty so I gave Sputnik and Mamacita both a chance to enjoy themselves off leash with Rucksack and Coco this morning. Sputnik, Rucksack, and Coco all had a blast chasing each other around and wrestling. Sputnik had so much energy that he was keeping both of his packmates entertained. Meanwhile, Mamacita went for a run with the rest of the pack at first, but then decided to keep going and continued off into the distance. I caught glimpses of her bounding through the fields about 100 yards off before she made her way pack to the pack about 10 minutes later with a big smile, at which point I clipped the leash back onto her harness. While Mamacita was off exploring and romping, Rucksack discovered the one remaining patch of snow beside the trail and chomped on some while standing in it and reveling in his find.

Play Pack

Thompson and Buddy were both very interested in sniffing and then peeing on a tree trunk when we first started walking along Boulder Creek this afternoon. A short while later, they did the same with a big boulder. However, I think Stella outpaced them for most scent marks left over the course of our walk. Coco trotted along in place at my side for the whole walk, only joining her packmates to pee once or twice. At one point during the walk, Sanaya grabbed a small tree branch and wrestled with it as we walked, before she eventually decided it was too unwieldy to carry and she left it behind.
